Sanding and Refinishing
Sanding is a dusty job. It is a good idea to separate the room, that you are working in from the rest of the house. Hang a plastic or old bed sheets at doorways and cover all exposed furniture to protect them from dust. If you are inexperienced with refinishing hardwood floors, consider hiring a professional to do the sanding for you.
To protect your floor and give it a pleasant wood glow apply quality polyurethane.
Remember proper ventilation should always be maintained while applying wood stains and finishes. it is also a good idea to wear a respirator when using oil-based products. Plan the staining process so you end at an exit.
